Steps to Send a Document for Signing
Training: Adobe Sign Interactive Demo
- Create and Save the document in Word
- Open Adobe Sign
- Select Send

Recipients: Enter Email of each Signer/Approver in correct order to complete

Message: Add a Title and a message

Files: Drag the Word document(s) to the Add Files field

Options: Add a Password and/or Set Reminder if desired
- Check box next to: Preview & Add Signature Fields (if unchecked)
- Click Next
If form fields are detected an icon will show in top left corner; select or create your own.
Signers:
- Select the First Signer under Recipients in the top left navigation
- Drag the appropriate fields from the headings into the document
- Signature Fields
- Signer Info Fields
- Data Fields
- Drag the appropriate fields from the headings into the document
- Signature Fields
- Signer Info Fields
Continue these steps for each signer. Field colours will correspond with each recipient. When a recipient is selected, the other fields will be greyed out.
- Click Send
Adobe Sign opens to new page with the details of the signature process.
After Document is Sent
- Sender will receive an email and attachment of the document
- First Signer will receive an email with the Sender’s message and link to open document (which is now a PDF)
- Signer will open the document where a yellow indication will show where to fill in fields and add signature.
- Signer selects Click to Sign
- Signer will receive an email of completion
- Second Signer will receive an email indicating first signer has signed the document and a link to sign the document
- Signer will follow steps 3 and 4 and receives an email when complete
- All parties will receive an email and attachment of the final signed PDF when all recipients have completed the signature process.
Note: All parties will receive a final PDF copy by email.
Manage Documents / Agreements
- Return to Adobe Sign
- Select Manage
- Select appropriate heading in left navigation
- Select a document in the list to open right navigation
- Choose options to download, remind, etc.
- Save in Alfresco
- Choose Activity to view the documents steps from sending to completion
- Download Reports
- Share with other users
