Explorer Room - Connection Information
1. Connecting to Remote Participants On-Screen Via Microsoft Teams
- You must have a calendar meeting set up which includes both the Explorer Room and MS Teams link
- Power on TV (Samsung Remote)
- On the console on the table, you should see your meeting listed. Press the Join button.
- If your meeting does not display on TV, press Input button on remote and select the second PC input (farthest to the right of the screen)
Camera and microphone / speakers will now function through TV screen, not your individual laptop.
You can still join the Teams meeting from your laptop and share your screen, etc, as necessary.
2. Connecting to Display for In-Room Participants Only
- Power On TV (Samsung Remote)
- Press F8 on your keyboard
- Select Connect to Wireless Display
- (Instead of steps 2 & 3 you can click Action Center icon in the bottom right corner of your screen & click Connect)
- Select Explorer Room
- If prompted, enter code displayed on TV.
- Your screen should now display
- If not, press Input button on remote and select the first PC input (farthest to the left of the screen)
Alternate:
- Plug in HDMI cord
- Your screen should now display
- If not, press Input button on remote and change to the second PC input (farthest to the right of the screen)
*Note – For either method under #2 (Connecting to Display for In-Room Participants Only), Teams Calls will display on screen, but camera and audio functionality will remain on your laptop. If you want to add remote participants via Teams, you must add a Teams meeting & the Explorer Room to your invite, then follow method #1, above.
